Quantum Dot Memory

I was reading the other day about quantum dot memory.  Flash memory writes information about 1000 times slower than DRAM.  Quantum dot memory can provide the best of both: long term storage with write speeds nearly as fast as DRAM.  15 nanometers across – could store one terabyte (1000 gigabytes) of data per square inch.
